Yoga is suited for all – men and women. However, it helps women more in some ways than men. It is a fact that women in all societies undergo much stress due to various reasons. They have to cope not only with their careers and families but also with their own bodies. They undergo hormonal changes as well specific conditions like pregnancy, menstruation and menopause which throw a woman’s body and mind out of gear. Only those who are conditioned and physically and mentally fit are able to cope with these conditions.

 Yoga for women is not different from that of men only its results are much more pronounced. Much before it became fashionable to say “I practice Yoga” or was endorsed by celebrities like Madonna, yoga was being regularly practiced in eastern part of the world by women where yoga for women is almost a way of life.

Yoga helps women during Menopause

Menopause is a natural process which every woman must undergo. In fact no medicine is required to cope with this if a woman is healthy and psychologically fit and prepared to deal with it. But that is seldom the case. Most women find this juncture of their life an excruciating one. Right from the psychological trauma to the physical unrest the menopause becomes a bitter experience. Yoga for women  helps them in pre-menopause as well as menopause phase by balancing the endocrine system and regulating the hormone flow in the body. It is no tall claim. Women practicing yoga are easily available to cope with it and have barely to face the problems that go with menopause like night sweating, hot flushes etc.

Moreover, there are a few postures which help relive the muscles and strengthen the muscles required to bear the baby.

 Apart from these special conditions of women, Yoga for women help them in various diseases which are very common among women. In fact most of those diseases are caused due to imbalances in the body. Yoga for women sets that right. It fine tunes various glands and regulates the secretion of hormones naturally thus curing the diseases even before they show their presence.
